In the Fall of 2009, three Venezuelans locked themselves in an East Village basement and stayed there until they came up with a new sound.  After months experimenting with electrónica, rock, jazz, pop, and traditional Venezuelan rhythms, they picked an obscure name that only a handful of people outside of their home country would understand, and they released and album that was an instant cult hit. That band is "Los Crema Paraíso", and that album was "El Debut". 

Los Crema Paraiso is the musical moniker of Drummer / Percussionist Neil Ochoa (Si*Se, Chicha Libre), Guitarrist / Producer José Luis Pardo (Los Amigos Invisibles) with Bassist Álvaro Benavides (Pedrito Martinez Group) now replaced by Bambam Rodríguez.

Now the creators of the techno-joropo and the malagueña-pop return with a new album filled with original music, surprise guests and unexpected covers: “De Película” —an untranslatable term that implies that something is so good that it's worth putting in a movie—, is the kind of album that accomplishes an impossible task: it gives the term global a positive spin.
